Qwirk
Qwirk is a small proof-of-concept Metroidvania game with a spellbinding twist. Instead of the extra abilities you gain being permanent, you cast them like spells to gain the respective ability for a short time. These abilities can then be used to overcome the obstacles in the game world, all the while hunting for collectibles.
HOW TO PLAY
In Qwirk, your objective revolves around finding the two spells in the game world and using them to find the exit. There are also collectibles to find, but finding said collectibles is not mandatory for beating the game - they merely exist as a completionist incentive.
The bar to the top right is essentially your spell timer. You can cast a spell when the meter is full. Upon casting a spell, the meter will start going down, and a new spell cannot be cast until the previously casted spell runs out and the meter is refilled. Only one ability can be active at a time.

I got stuck in a pit with a breakable wall but I hadn't found the projectile yet, had to start the whole thing over.
Do you remember where exactly said pit was? I'm fairly positive that there are no softlock spots in the game - you should be able to get back up from any room as long as you use the High Jump.
I should've posted a screenshot right away instead of being vague about it.
Ah yeah, that. Thanks for reporting, I'll fix it ASAP.
The R button resets the game. It doesn't give you the high jump. Once I got the spell to cast projectiles I couldn't get beyond some areas because I didn't have the high jump.
You can switch to the High Jump spell with the A button.
Thanks, you're a genius!
